Students and Teachers: Get involved in the first ever underwater Bioblitz!
A BioBlitz is an annual event that is part scientific endeavor, part festival and part outdoor classroom.
Join the 2010 BioBlitz in Biscayne National Park near Miami, Florida on Friday, April 30th, when scientists, students, and the public join forces to explore the park's biodiversity and identify every living species in and out of its tropical waters--in just 24 hours. Students can participate from a distance in these ways:

Can't make it to Miami?
Students can participate from a distance in these ways:
- Follow the action on the BioBlitz website. From April 30 - May 1, students will find video and blog updates, photogalleries of plants and creatures, and an interactive map showing where discoveries are being made in the park.
- Ask a scientist. Prior to April 30, students can submit questions about biodiversity, marine biology, coastal geography, invasive species, and careers in science to the scientists who will be volunteering at the BioBlitz. Questions will be posed to scientists during video and other interviews. Send questions to ngbioblitz@gmail.com.
