Maggie
Geography Intern
National Geographic Education
Maggie's blogging days began long before she ever stepped foot into National Geographic. After a failed blog attempt when she first studied abroad in Salzburg, Austria, Maggie tried again, this time video-blogging her travels around Germany during the winter of 2008/2009. Although the vlogs were hysterical to make, she is currently trying to forget the awkwardness; and while she (hopefully?) destroyed all YouTube and BlogSpot links, she makes a plea to readers not to Google her name in fear that some vestige of her gallivants may still lurk in the dark corners of the interwebs...Her first semi-successful blog launched in the summer of 2009 when she lived in the Czech Republic, in which she wrote about the intriguing characters (and absolute nutcases) she encountered while working in a bookstore in Český Krumlov.
Maggie graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Geography and International Studies and a minor in European Studies. She is a total nerd and loves all things geography, but also enjoys crossword puzzles, exclaiming about delicious food, Frisbee, and Scrabble. If you ever want to bribe her into doing anything, chips, salsa, and good guacamole should do the trick.
